About

What and Why:

The Washington Metropolitan Area Otolaryngology Society has been organized to foster the practice of Otolaryngology in the Washington metropolitan area. The focus of this society is to regularly meet with those specialists in the field of Otolaryngology to hear, evaluate and disseminate matters of technical and procedural importance to the practice of the specialty and to promote the delivery of the highest standard of care to their patients.

Who:

Any physician who has completed an accepted residency in Otolaryngology, who is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, or is eligible for certification, who is in good standing with their licensure board, medical society and hospitals and resides in the Washington metropolitan area shall be eligible for membership.

Annual dues are $250.00 for both new and renewal memberships. To join or renew membership, fill out membership application (registration). If you are renewing, you only need to fill out the first four lines of the application. Return all applications to the current treasurer.

We welcome any member to invite as a guest, any nurse practitioner or physician assistant from your office to dinner lectures. The fee per guest will be $75, (the cost of the dinner). To invite a guest, just add their name and title to your dinner request form.

When:

The society meets four times per year between the months of October and May. These are usually the third Thursday evening of the month.

Where:

We will be rotating between fine restaurants in the Washington metropolitan area and Key Bridge Marriott. An announcement with the exact location will be e-mailed to each member prior to each meeting. It will also be announced on our web-site washmetrosoc.com.
