Dr. Troy Woodard serves as President of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

He is a Professor of Otololaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he serves as

Section Head of the Division of Rhinology, Sinus, and Skull Base Surgery.

ABOUT

WHAT AND WHY

The Washington Metropolitan Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Society has been organized to foster the practice of Otolaryngology in the Washington metropolitan area. The focus of this society is to regularly meet with those specialists in the field of Otolaryngology to hear, evaluate and disseminate matters of technical and procedural importance to the practice of the specialty and to promote the delivery of the highest standard of care to their patients.

WHO

Any physician who has completed an accepted residency in Otolaryngology, who is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, or is eligible for certification, who is in good standing with their licensure board, medical society and hospitals and resides in the Washington metropolitan area shall be eligible for membership.

WHEN

The society meets four times per year between the months of October and May. These are usually on Thursday evenings.

WHERE

We will be rotating between fine restaurants in Washington, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. An announcement with the exact location will be e-mailed to each member prior to each meeting. It will also be announced on our web-site www.washmetrosoc.com.

Annual dues are $250.00 for both new and renewal memberships. The membership and renewal membership application is available below, just click JOIN NOW. It can be printed and mailed to the Treasurer.

We welcome any member to invite as a guest, any colleague, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant from your office to dinner lectures. The fee per guest will be $75, and a RSVP is required.

If you are a renewing member, please email the society at washington.metro.oto@gmail.comto update your information annually.

JOIN NOW

For those of you who have not yet paid dues, membership requires the completion of an application annually. A $250 membership fee is required for one year or four dinner/lectures. If you wish to bring a guest ( P.A. or nurse practitioner) to a dinner, a $75 fee along with an RSVP is required. If you are a renewing member, you need only to fill out the first four lines of the application and return to the current treasurer.
